Greta Thunberg: Arguably the world's most well-known human rights activist, is currently travelling the globe to raise awareness about the climate issue. Although she was only 17, she began her activism in 2018 by skipping classes to protest outside the Swedish Parliament. Students all over the world soon joined in, and the campaign quickly gained momentum. She received the highest honor for human rights from Amnesty International and was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2019. Thunberg emphasizes climate change to highlight the interconnectedness of the human rights and environmental crises.
